This unit makes simple interesting again
Through the years, minimalist designs have reigned supreme. The challenge of making this passé style still look cool and relevant is a task for all designers. How do you create something new if everyone else has done it before? In this renovation story, PXP Design Workshop gives a refreshing take on the overdone and conventional modern minimalist style.
Their client is Singapore-based couple Aussie Christopher and Filipina Melba, who purchased this 60-square meter unit in Makati as a home for when they visit the country. Architects Patrick Espiritu and Spencer Sy of PXP Design Workshop were tasked to make the two-bedroom unit feel like a hotel. “This unit was easy for us because we’ve done projects like it before,” shares Patrick.
