COURTNEY VETTEL HAS THRIFTING IN HER BLOOD. The high school counselor (also wife and mom of three) was first introduced to the hobby by her mother and quickly developed a passion for it—one from which she’s never recovered! She says, “What do I love about thrifting, antique stores and flea markets? Everything! I love the thrill of the hunt, picking up a new piece for a collection or finding that perfect décor item for a space in my home.” Her secondhand treasures get a new life in her 1956 ranch-style farmhouse, located in Manning, North Dakota. There she weaves her vintage finds into her home’s stylistic story, saying, “My design look is vintage farmhouse. I adore anything and everything vintage, but I also like to pair it with farmhouse touches.” She especially enjoys using her curated collections to decorate for life’s special events. “I literally decorate for every holiday,” she says. “My favorite thing about styling our home for the different holidays is unpacking all my décor items and rediscovering them. I often forget what I have.”
