Being commissioned to renovate the home of an esteemed industry peer is possibly the highest praise an interior designer can get. Beata Heuman was certainly flattered when the owner of this London terraced house, an expert in the world of home interiors, invited her to do just that. “It was such a compliment," smiles Heuman, designer and author of Every Room Should Sing.

The owner and his wife wanted their home to have a blend of personality а and practicality, so there's little wonder the Swedish-born, UK-based designer was top of their list for the job.
