Beef farmers Alison and Rob Snook needed a kitchen that could keep up with their long-hours lifestyle

‘The room was far too small, especially as I use it as my office, and the light was poor. Removing walls gave us a larger space and room for the island I’d always wanted. Lacy-Hulbert Interiors came up with a new design. It took three months and the building work cost £20,000. We used a builder who works on the farm. The kitchen fitting came in at £2,400. Now it’s complete, the kitchen is at the heart of our working day, although I do make Rob leave his welly boots at the front door!’
