Where Are You Now?

We're all under pressure and overwhelmed with having to succeed. It can get tough, so guide your life this way.

A whole load of Malaysians under 30 are facing more and more pressure to "succeed' and do it all. You may feel it too, and the numbers don't lie. According to a survey by Linkedln involving 1.003 young employed Malaysians, three-quarters of them felt pressured to succeed in relationships, career or finances. Around thirty per cent of males and females reported that they have definitely experienced what psychologists dub a "quarter-life crisis" where you feel unsatisfied with where you are in life, and you feel like time is running out. This can lead to anxiety and potentially depression, in young people of any gender. Ultimately. what it comes down to is feeling stuck — in a job you don't see a future in or where you feel your employers don't understand your needs. In the same survey, almost half (48%) of Malaysian millennia's felt stuck in their current role and were looking for a way out. Here are ways you can find the answers — where support lies, where to find your purpose, and the small steps you can take to building a more solid foundation from which you can leap.

If you find what gives you purpose, then you're most likely and more able to be happier at where you are in life.
