CELTIC plc’s AGM for 2018 took place in the Kerrydale Suite at Celtic Park today (Wednesday), with the three domestic trophies once again taking pride of place in the hall following last season’s historic Double Treble.
And the positivity of events on the pitch was mirrored off it too, with the results showing record sales revenue of £101.6million, against £90.6m last year, and a profit before taxation of £17.3million, against £6.9m last year, reflecting a strong financial performance.
Chairman Ian Bankier took charge of the meeting, and he was joined at the top table by his fellow directors, and Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers.
The AGM began with a series of interviews with the chairman, Chief Executive, Peter Lawwell, Celtic FC Foundation CEO, Tony Hamilton, and Brendan Rodgers.
All eight Resolutions put before the shareholders were passed in near unanimous agreement.
The first Resolution sought to confirm the Auditor’s Report, the Strategic report and the Directors’ Report for the year ended June 30, 2018.
Resolutions 2-4 saw Dermot Desmond, Tom Allison and Brian Wilson re-elected to the board.
