CELTIC Football Club is a name known throughout the football world, while in just about any country you care to mention, you’re guaranteed to find Celtic supporters proudly wearing the green and white Hoops.

Over the course of this season we’ll be taking a closer look at these countries and their current Celtic links, as well as other nations who have played their part in our unique story.
AND IF YOU KNOW THE HISTORY
Two years after defeating Inter Milan in the final of the European Cup in 1967, Jock Stein’s Celtic visited Milan to take on AC in the quarter-final of the European Cup. However, the Italians won 1-0 in Glasgow and moved into the last four. Giovanni Trapattoni – who went on to manage the Republic of Ireland and the Vatican City, among others – played for Milan in the San Siro contest.
