Girl, Pop The Question Already!

In December 2018, Pinterest reported that searches for “women propose to men ideas” have been up by 336%. Even the New York Post published a piece on women proposing to their boyfriends being the latest #MeToo culture shift.

However, this trend has a long way to go to Sri Lanka as the cultural forces around us have set many limitations as to why the girl should not do the asking. Did you know that an old Irish tradition allowed women the opportunity to propose to men only on February 29 of a leap year?

Doubt and uncertainty are natural, and totally part of life, but don’t let it weigh you down. Sometimes you need to take a stand. So, put your fears aside, ladies. If you want anything, we suggest you go out and take it! Here’s how you can deal with the many reservations you may feel when considering this make or break question.
