The isolation period is well underway and we are all going through it, but in retrospect, we should consider ourselves privileged to have this time to do things we have always wanted to do, but have never had the time. So instead of watching series after series on Netflix, try something new to keep your mind active and your body moving. And looking ahead, it is important to remember during this difficult period to do what we can to support Essex's communities, charities and businesses.
DINE IN STYLE
1 At the time of writing, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes in Essex offering a takeaway service. Whether you fancy a Turkish delight at Mezze Ocakbasi in Woodford Green, a taste of India at award-winning Village Brentwood, good old fish and chips at Robinsons in Chelmsford or a slice of pizza at Dough & Co in Colchester. Why not order a takeaway or buy a voucher to help our local food industry at this time?
2 Organic vegetable box delivery companies are facing unprecedented demand for their food as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak. But could you help your local independent suppliers instead? Broadway Deli & Grocery in Woodford Green has everything covered by putting a large range of products online, so you can continue to shop while in isolation. Send in your shopping lists and they will deliver your goods.
