A wonderful actor who has graced her presence on our television screens with her talent, Aash-ka Goradia is now an entrepreneur. She found-ed a brand that surpasses the old definition of beauty, art, and expression called RENEE Cosmetics, in 2018. “Through RENEE, I see fashion, style, power, comfort, all packaged in one!” says Aashka “Our products are the proof of it. For example India’s first double stitched 3D eyelashes that last longer, and the RENEE Fab 5, our 5-in-1 colour lipstick. Giving women more at an affordable price is our goal.” The word ‘Renee’ comes from French roots, meaning rebirth. And with that rebirth, “Beauty is timelessly inspired - endlessly enhanced” has become the brand’s guiding phrase. With this, I get into a conversation with Aashka to know the RENEE Cosmetics story, through her eyes.
How did you venture into the business of the beauty industry?
I feel that any kind of transformation is very empowering and makeup is also a very important tool for your transformation. I feel that makeup is no longer a need but is truly celebrated by people who love creativity and colours. I am really passionate about makeup, I love that we can create so many different looks with these colours. The idea of cosmetics has been around for many years and I’m just trying to play my small part in it.
