Nearly a decade in the making, Claire and Clinton’s wonderful celebration at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore was an event filled with class and charm.
As cliched as it sounds, it was love at first sight for Claire and I. We were on the school tennis team during our polytechnic days, and after bumping into each other on the tennis court one day, we just hit it off. After dating for nine years, we were ready to settle down and take our relationship to the next level.
I chose to propose to Claire on her birthday, and prepared a simple set-up in one of the rooms of The Fullerton Bay Hotel, alongside our close friends and family. They waited outside on the hotel room’s balcony, and burst in the moment she said yes.
While I had hired a violinist to play in the background as I read my proposal speech to Claire, we ended up asking him to excuse himself from the room less than a minute into the proposal as we felt awkward in his presence! That was quite hilarious.
We loved every moment of our wedding day. Seeing all our favourite people there and exchanging our personal vows in front of them were just some of the many highlights of our celebration. Claire says that she remembers holding my hand and feeling overwhelmingly blessed to be my wife.
