Pune has earned a reputation of being a hot spot for residential real estate. This in itself is reason enough for home furnishing and decor brands to have their presence in the city. One of the earliest concept malls in India - Ishanya recently opened doors to a spectacular 20,000 sq.ft. store called HomeSukh.
Deliberating on the concept for over a year, Mahesh M, Chief Executive Officer for Housl!fe and Ishanya and his team arrived on the conclusion that the launch of HomeSukh was inevitable. Elaborating on this, Mahesh shares, “The HomeSukh is the first and smartest marketplace in Pune for Home Decor and Gifting. Any such idea where there is a lot of pioneering work in terms of selling the concept and imbibing passion takes time and yes we did take about a year to evolve the concept, put the like minded partnerships in place and work out the operational design of the format. Post this the execution time taken for the project including actual interiors, fixtures, VM and product merchandising took us about 120 days.” With the idea in place and the execution of the same put on paper, the challenge for the team was to partner with brands who would be in sync with the philosophy of HomeSukh – that of keeping customers happy. Mahesh adds, “The real challenge always lies in self belief the concept and the ability to radiate an infectious passion to the other stakeholders, especially the brands who were coming on board as partners for the concept.”
