I’m on holiday...
Well, to be strictly honest with you – as I write this, I’m not, I haven’t even got a holiday booked, in fact right now I’m not even sure we’ll be able to have a holiday.
Not even as things stand, a freebie week with my darling sister in my old hometown. However, I’m hopeful that we will be able to get away for a much-needed break, to ride a few waves and spend time recharging our batteries in a location different to the one where we’ve literally spent almost every day for the last four months.
I’m not sure about it, though, desperate as I am for a change of scene. By not being at home, we’re opening ourselves up to different infection vectors and much as I love my home county and its more westerly neighbor, there’s a huge difference between being 15 minutes away from three major hospitals and being at least an hour’s drive away from the one major hospital in the region.
