By managing two companies successfully, entrepreneur Prasanna has broken the glass ceiling and reinvented the personification of women in the workplace.
Prasanna Sailanathan, Chief Operating Officer of Talent Development, had a dream to own a farm. The idea started off as a simple but practical backup plan: “If everything fails in life, at least I’d be able to grow my own food,” Prasanna laughs.
Known as a training centre that provides industry recognised technical certification and qualification delivered by a team of qualified trainers, Talent Development is highly significant in the workforce – especially when it is helmed by a woman like Prasanna. Before she came on board with Talent Development (she described her decision to join the team as a ‘leap of faith’), Prasanna was well implemented in the business line, from being a marketing manager at a private college, to dipping her toes in sales and student relations. From then on, she realised she enjoyed working with students. “For me, it gave life a different perspective. It was interesting to discover how everyone had a unique take on life.”
