Throwback to that time when we travelled by train with a three—month—old!
I delivered my first born in Bhatinda, Punjab in the peak of winter, but was surrounded by the warmth of love from a large extended family, which included my parents, in-laws and grandparents. Each morning, we’d wake up to find the lawns outside covered with a white sheet of ice! The frost would freeze over. We had to be very careful our baby didn’t catch a cold, especially during bath time and diaper changes. But family was always around with helpful suggestions for all my concerns, and my husband and I never felt alone.
When baby turned three months old, we had to relocate to Mumbai. A new phase of life awaited us, where we had to travel with a new baby, set up home in a new city and raise our baby all by ourselves. We were excited and thrilled by the adventures that awaited us. The first one being the train journey from Bathinda to New Delhi!
