When one door closes, another opens... in Australia! Following the bombshell announcement that Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show will end in 2022 after 19 years on air, the embattled star is now reportedly quitting Hollywood altogether.

With the tumultuous events of the past 12 months placing a strain on her marriage to Aussie actress Portia de Rossi, New Idea has learnt the pair are considering relocating to the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria for a much-needed fresh start.

“There really is no choice in the matter … it’s Australia or bust for Portia and Ellen,” a long-time pal tells New Idea. “They’ve gone through the toughest couple of years ever and it’s nothing short of a miracle that they’re still together.

“Ellen’s been like a hellcat since the big backlash started last year. She’s been behaving recklessly too and sleeping barely three hours a night.

“Portia’s been tearing her hair out with worry, but all her attempts to fix things have only made things worse.”
