Team Italy 'It's Our Time To Shine'

The women in the famous minichiello family are kicking their own goals

The Minichiello surname is synonymous in Australia with rugby league stars, Anthony and Mark. But on Plate of Origin, it’s the footy brothers’ mum Teresa and sister Michelle who are stepping into the spotlight.

Representing Team Italy, the mother-daughter team say they’re accustomed to people knowing of their family.

“A lot of people think we’re famous – I’m not! We’re just normal people,” says Teresa, 60.

“But we’re super proud of everything the boys have achieved,” adds Michelle, 35.
