It came as a major surprise to Filipino fans when Grammy Award-winning singer Britney Spears announced her Manila concert. For one night only, the pop icon will dazzle local audiences with an explosive show. A massively successful artist in the late ’90s and early 2000s, Spears was catapulted into fame in 1998 by her debut single “…Baby One More Time” followed by the monster hit “Oops!...I Did It Again” in 2000. A year after, she shed her innocent image with the chart-topping “I’m a Slave 4 U” which she performed live in a revealing outfit with a python writhing around her shoulders.
