And while we are in the middle of a pandemic, we are bound to be stressed and feel anxious by thinking about the future or even live in isolation and not being able to meet your loved ones. The situation does give a whole negative vibe and it is hard to ignore that. But this too shall pass. And anxiety and stress when in the initial stages can always be reduced by using some very easy techniques. These exercises do not require much expertise and can be done from the comfort of your home.
DEEP BREATHING
Certain breathing exercises can help your body feel relaxed by relieving stress. Deep breathing stimulates relaxation and rejuvenation of the body by getting rid of stress as it sends a message to your brain to calm down and relax. It also detoxifies the body, improves immunity, etc. When your stress levels rise a hormone called “Cortisol” is released. By taking deep focused breaths, your heart rate slows, more oxygen enters your bloodstream and ultimately communicates to our brain to relax.
