IT was during a chance night out in Omagh when 27 year-old Magherafelt woman, Niamh Heron would happen to meet her future husband, Padhraic McGlinchey.
Now four years later and the couple are making the final preparations for their wedding on April 27th.
But before they make it to the altar, 29 year-old Padhraic has a very special challenge, which he first must complete.
The Carrickmore native, who is now living in Magherafelt, was inspired by his fiancée’s, positive outlook on life despite her daily struggles with Cystic Fibrosis (CF).
In April last year, Padhraic decided that he wanted to help in whatever way he could to raise awareness about CF and the charity, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, which works to support those living with the condition.
After giving it some thought, he came up with the idea of running a half-marathon each week.
Padhraic started his challenge in April last year, exactly a year before their wedding.
Having completed 39-half marathons, Padhraic is now well and truly on the countdown to his big day.
