BOREHAM WOOD chairman Danny Hunter reckons this week’s three-way goalkeeper swap in the National League was good business for all parties.
An injury to Bromley keeper Mark Cousins at Yeovil on Saturday prompted the high-flying Ravens to make an enquiry about Boreham Wood’s England C stopper Ryan Huddart.
A deal was soon agreed and within hours of Huddart completing his move to Hayes Lane, Wood swiftly snapped up Ebbsfleet’s out-of-favour No.1 Nathan Ashmore as his replacement.
“Sometimes opportunity knocks and you have to go with it,” Wood chief Hunter said.
“Bromley’s keeper picked up a nasty injury last Saturday, Bromley then enquired about young Ryan Huddart and suddenly a deal is done between our clubs in no time.
“At the same time, Nathan was being circulated by Ebbsfleet, and I could see there was potential to get something done.
