ARMY tanker drivers finally took to the roads yeterday to help tackle the fuel crisis.
Around 200 troops were deployed 12 days after the country was first plunged into chaos.
Soldiers in face masks arrived at the Buncefield oil depot in Hemel Hempstead, Herts, to help deliver fuel as part of Operation Escalin.
Ministers have been slammed for not bringing in the military sooner.
