Couple make first royal visit of year

THE Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their first royal outing of the year yesterday to hear of the challenges of having a tough upbringing.

Kate, who last year set up her Centre for Early Childhood, and Wills met charity bosses at London's Foundling Museum.

They discussed homelessness, mental health and helping young people in care who fail or slip through the cracks.

The museum tells the history of the Foundling Hospital, the UK's first children's charity, founded in 1739 as a home for kids whose mothers could not care for them.
