BRITS may be unwittingly fuelling the new Covid wave by writing it off as hay fever, say scientists.
Both share similar symptoms such as a runny nose, cough, sore throat and sneezing. Hay fever sufferers may think they have the non-contagious condition when it may be the virus, especially as pollen levels are "very high".
