The climate strike, organised by Fridays For Future Scotland, comes as the COP26 discussions feature events highlighting the voice of young people and education. COP26 organisers warned attendees to expect travel disruption today because of “significant road closures and restrictions” put in place to accommodate the protest.
Ms Thunberg invited Prince Charles on the march, but he said taking part would be “difficult”. However, in a speech to COP26 negotiators the prince insisted he sympathises with the “frustration” of the younger generation.
