In an effort to support the people of Beirut, Careem, the region’s first Super App, in partnership with “Share The Meal”, the World Food Programme, and Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), raised a donation of over Dhs700,000 for Lebanon.
The Careem initiative with “Share The Meal” and the World Food Programme provided customers with an opportunity to use their Careem Rewards points earned through transacting on the Careem Super App to donate in support of those in Lebanon. Careem also matched donations collected in the first few days of the donation program. By donating 3,500 Careem Rewards points, customers can continue to contribute to providing food parcels and emergency support items, such as medicine, to those affected by the Beirut Port explosion. Furthermore, Careem has been providing free rides to people of Beirut wanting to donate blood at the hospitals.
