Scotland’s World Cup qualification hopes are in the balance after being demolished by Denmark in 92 seconds.

Steve Clarke’s men lost their heads in a woeful first-half showing when the Danes ran riot, scoring in the 14th and 15th minutes.

Boss Clarke signed a new deal last week citing his ambition to lead the nation to more tournament finals following their first for 23 years at the Euros in the summer.

That will prove tough to deliver with their World Cup group a tense one, Denmark running away with first place, the Scots losing second spot after this defeat.
