BRAVE Vicky Phelan has said she constantly worries about never seeing her family again as she receives treatment in the US.
The cervical cancer campaigner has been in Maryland since January undergoing a six-month experimental medical trial.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions relatives were unable to fly out and visit, meaning she hasn’t seen her children Amelia (16) and 10-year old Darragh in almost seven months.
Asked about feeling lonely, Vicky admitted she constantly worries about something going wrong.
She said: “I think I found this experience the toughest of my cancer journey.
“It has been a hard eight years, constantly on one treatment or another or waiting on scans to come back to see how things are.
