A LARGE gathering for a funeral yesterday sparked mixed reactions as photographs appeared to show crowds ignoring social distancing rules.
The burial of a popular member of the traveller community from Dublin due to complications from Covid-19 drew a large number of mourners.
Up to 60 people turned out to pay their respects – with images appearing to show them standing shoulder to shoulder at the graveside. The man in his late 70s was interred at Balgriffin Cemetery with gardai maintaining a presence close by to monitor proceedings.
