New Delhi: Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said the farm laws recently passed by the Centre had legalised hoarding and would cause prices to jump 16 times in just four years, adversely impacting household budgets.
Kejriwal observed a daylong fast with AAP legislators and volunteers at the party headquarters in Delhi in support of the farmers protesting against the three laws. The laws are “not only antifarmer but also anti-common man and are enacted to favour some capitalists”, Kejriwal claimed, giving a call to everyone to join the protests.
He also demanded immediate rollback of the laws. “These anti-farmer laws are not only devastating for them but also dangerous for every citizen of the country. The price of daily items will increase if these laws come into play. These laws have given free licence to price hike.”
