In Test Cricket, There's A Charm In The White Tracksuits And Red Ball, Says Jhulan Goswami

They will also be playing their first Test in seven years. No wonder, team member and former captain Jhulan Goswami is excited that they are going to don the prestigious whites again after such a long gap. In a chat with us, she spoke about their preparations, the importance of Test matches and more. Excerpts:

The Indian women’s team will play a Test after seven years. There’s also a pink ball Test Down Under in September. What does it mean for all of you?

We all are very excited, and also looking forward to the pink-ball Test in Australia. These matches give a very positive message for the team... that we’re on the right track. It will also help promote women’s cricket globally. We’ve played a few matches recently and hence, got a fair bit of practise. I believe this Test and tour will help us beat the fear the pandemic has instilled in us.

Regular Tests will also mean additional matches for you as you don’t play T20 any longer.
