Mumbai: An 89-year-old retired Army man slit the throats of his 81-year-old wife and 55year-old mentally challenged daughter, both bedridden, at their Andheri (East) flat on Sunday evening and surrendered before Meghwadi police on Monday morning.
The accused, Purushottam Singh Gandhok, told the police that he had suffered 10 traumatic years taking care of his wife and daughter, both of whom were bedridden, and did not want to see them suffer any longer.
