Civic authorities along with local corporators have been organising fever camps in housing societies and slums to trace Covid-19 patients as soon as possible so that timely treatment can be administered to them and the spread of the virus can be limited.
At these camps, local residents are screened for any symptoms and, if required, swabs of symptomatic patients are collected by teams of doctors and nurses.
Elected representatives actively involved in these fever camps say the number of citizens who visit is disheartening.
