Once you see those two little red lines on the pregnancy test, your life will never be the same again. After all the initial celebration and excitement, you will find yourself overwhelmed with everything that you need to do and prepare for. A little planning and a whole lot of preparation in advance can take you a long way.
As a new mum, it can be very overwhelming and daunting, and you may find yourself trying to focus on getting things arranged and organised, instead of truly enjoying this special time. There are some activities that are so prominent, that most of your attention automatically shifts to them, such as ensuring the right nutrition, right exercise, going for childbirth classes, medical tests, planning a baby shower, maternity shoots, taking that babymoon with your partner, planning the baby announcement gifts, and most importantly, keeping yourself happy and healthy during your pregnancy. However, often there is one facet that gets left out, and that is preparing your house, the nursery, and acquiring all the essentials that you will need once she’s here.
The first thing to consider is whether the baby will be sleeping with you in your room, or have her own nursery. In my case, I decided to have a separate nursery, and it is my favorite place in the house. I can assure you, that if planned well, there is no other room in the house that will give out a happier, cosier, and more cheerful vibe. A lot of thought goes into planning and executing the design, and making sure all the necessary things are in order to give your newborn a safe place to grow up in. They spend the maximum time in their room, and you’ll be surprised that you will also end up spending the majority of your day there too. It has to be a space where she can grow and thrive in, and one that she will adore for years.
