Being the only pampered princess of my father's province, it is but obvious that he is my unmatched hero forever. But it will be unfair if I don't pay an equal share of tribute to my mom who completes him. While there have also been many wonderful friends, mentors and icons inspiring me each day, I would like to honour the Supreme Super Hero (other than my dad), without whom I am just nothing in this world.
As your eyebrows rise in surprise, let me introduce him to you with due love - he is my creator, my love and my soul. The world views him from a distance with fear and devotion. But when I was a child, my mother presented Lord Krishna to me as a friend and companion. It's a profound pleasure to talk to Him each day; He has been a true friend in my life all along. I don't celebrate anything in life with as much zeal as I do Janmashtami; the belief of his arrival was inculcated in me from my childhood days. His existence in my life is just beyond question.

Smt. Revathi Ramachandran - Director Of Kalakshetra Foundation
Dancer, choreographer and teacher of Bharatanatyam, Smt. Revathi Ramachandran's repertoire has taken her to stages PAN India, Europe and America. She is the only exponent of 'Sudha Nrittam', an ancient temple dance revived by her Guru Mangudi Dorairaja Iyer. She has been the recipient of many awards and accolades including the prestigious Kalaimamani award.Apart from her cultural achievements, this master's degree holder in Economics, has also captained the Tamil Nadu Women's' Basketball team in early 80s. Here she shares her thoughts with our readers through this interview.
