Giving up watching television can be tough but once you do, you realize how productively you can utilise time…
On a Sunday morning infinipath (growth session), Mahatria asked all of us to ‘give up’ something for a ‘go up’ for the next 111 days. He instructed everyone not to write to Him immediately; we were to send him an email on 1st January 2018 only to let him know that we had accomplished the goal we had set. I geared up to give up something and become a better person in the next 111 days to come!
I was thinking hard all through my day about what that one thing was which I really needed to give up and grow from it. One of our Sunday rituals after the infinipath is to call our son, and as a family we share our take away from the infinipath with each other. As usual, I started to share my thoughts over our lengthy conversation and very casually I admitted, “Every time Mahatria talks about hours wasted in watching television, something within me shrinks!” And my son, Arjun at the end of the conversation reflected by telling me, “Mom, if you feel that way, you must be watching way too much television! I don't feel a thing for it; for a fact you know it's a little over two years, and I don't even own a television here in America!” And having said that, our conversation ended with him suggesting that I should go without watching TV for the next 111 days.
