After months of waiting British Cycling has unveiled that elite domestic road racing will begin just after Easter and terminate in mid-summer – with the calendar missing one race from last season.
The men’s peloton will contest eight rounds over a three-month period, with riders looking to supersede Matthew Holmes as series victor.
Last year’s series featured 10 events: this time around, the calendar does not include the Manx International, which as a bi-annual was never expected, and the South Coast Classic.
