Closed-road sportive unveiled to support Norwich-based races in 2019, writes Owen Rogers
Next year’s road National Championships will be staged in Norfolk, and for the first time you will have the chance to ride the route yourself. The introduction of a 100-mile closed road sportive to be run on the same day as the road races, on the same route, is a new initiative for British Cycling. Entry fees should also allow the governing body to offset at least some of the costs, which are likely to be substantial given the day-long road closures.
