Pair add to palmarès with another win on the Michaelgate cobbles
Tom Stewart and Rebecca Durrell both bagged their second victories at the Lincoln Grand Prix on Sunday, Durrell successfully defending her 2018 title while Stewart added to his 2016 victory.
Stewart (Canyon-dhb-Bloor Homes) timed his charge up the cobbled climb of Michaelgate well, rounding the final corner and crossing the line two seconds ahead of Tom Pidcock (Team Wiggins), while his Canyon team-mate Andy Tennant was third, four seconds back.
Matt Holmes wasn’t far behind in fourth, a result which gave him enough points to lead the National Road Series overall and help Madison-Genesis lead the team classification ahead of Canyon-dhb.
