Who are you? Where are you from and how many Earth years old do you think you are?
I'm Seth Morris, from Pembrokeshire in far West Wales. I'm 18-years old.
Do you remember the very first time you surfed?
Vaguely. Dad was pushing me into waves. I remember getting a Christmas present when I was about eight, wrapped precisely like a little soft top. My parents finally let me use it once the winter storms had blown over.
At what point did you appreciate that you were good at surfing?
I'm always looking up to people that are way better than me and striving to be better, so I guess I've never thought of it that way. But if I was pushed, when I entered the Welsh Championships (at my local) for the first time and won it felt pretty good.
Seeing as you live in a quiet part of the world do you surf by yourself a lot? Who are the crew you surf with?
There are a fair few solo sessions in the winter. But it's usually when it's two-foot slop because I'm the only one that wants to surf when it's like that, haha. Sometimes I surf with mates who are just getting into it, and sometimes I surf with guys who I wish I could get as barrelled as they do, like Al Morris and Ryan Thomas. I train with Phil Sadler who runs Pembrokeshire Surf School, and he has supported me a lot over the past few years. In the summer, there is always more of a crew, and it's nice to see more people getting into it.
Being from most west Wales how awesome have your parents been in being your taxi to events?
My dad has driven and travelled with me thousands of miles to compete. Whenever I'm in heat, my dad is always there to support me. Mum is always there to help me plan my trips and support from back home with the family and show how proud she is of me.
