Neil Lennon’s side continued their impressive form in the Europa League with a dominant 2-0 win against Cluj to move top of Group E.
The Romanian champions arrived in Glasgow off the back of a 2-1 against Lazio in their opening game of the group while Celtic had recorded a 1-1 away to Rennes.
Elhamed was delighted with the result, which he said was made possible by the way Celtic approached the game.
“It was an outstanding performance for the whole team,” said Elhamed. “We looked sharp attacking while defensively we kept a clean sheet so we’re very happy.
“We showed a lot of character and the right attitude against Cluj and that, along with good football, is what got us the three points.
