After a string of great results, Claire Crosbie reckons Celtic have what it takes to secure Champions League football come the end of the season.

AFTER spending nine years on the books at Spartans, Claire Crosbie suffered a double ACL injury in 2015 that ruled her out for two years.

She joined Celtic initially in 2017, and spent a year in rehab, before signing for the Paradise side in February of last year.

The steadfast centre-half hasn’t looked back since, and has revelled in the most focused, determined and resolute side she’s ever been a part of.

After a series of top results this year, not least an emphatic 3-0 win over Hibs earlier this month, the Celtic View caught up with Crosbie to discuss the Hoops’ progress this year and the team’s targets moving forward.

Celtic’s 2-0 win over Spartans was a hard-fought but well-deserved victory. Was it ever in doubt?

I would say it was pretty convincing. Without being too negative, I felt we could have created a bit more moving forward, we struggled to keep the ball at times, and found ourselves on the back foot a lot of the time. We were defending for spells in the game, but to be fair, our goalkeeper didn’t have too much to do either.

Celtic are now on equal points with Hibernian, behind them only on goal difference. This has been a great season so far for the women’s side.
