Summer Green - Green Is The Colour

Summer Green is already up and running for Celtic as far as her goals tally is concerned, scoring two goals in the pre-season matches in Gran Canaria.

Those games were part of the Celtic Women’s team’s preparations for the forthcoming 2020 season, with new Head Coach, Fran Alonso, taking his squad to Gran Canaria for a pre-season training camp.

For 24-year-old Summer Green, it was an ideal opportunity to get to know her new team-mates, and the American attacker, who also has experience of playing abroad in Sweden, is now looking forward to the forthcoming 2020 campaign.

As the players return to Scotland to continue their preparations for the new season, the View caught up with Summer to get her thoughts on life at Celtic…

HOW HAVE YOU BEEN ENJOYING LIFE AT CELTIC SO FAR?

It’s been really good and everyone has been super-welcoming. It’s been fun and I’m just happy that I’ve managed to get on this trip and be part of it. The deal was done a little while ago, but there was paperwork and everything to be completed. It’s been great to finally meet all my team-mates, and like I said, everyone has been super-nice, which does make a difference coming from across the pond.

IT IS A BIT OF A DREAM START, FIRST WEEK IN AND OFF TO WARM-WEATHER TRAINING. HOW HAS IT BEEN?
