Last week we guaranteed top spot in our Europa League group with a win over Rennes. The result cemented two historic achievements for the Hoops – topping a European group for the first time and accumulating the greatest number of points in a group with 13.
Those accolades came off the back of the 2-1 victory over Lazio in Rome – our first ever competitive win on Italian soil.
The trio of honours is a reminder of the incredible form Neil Lennon has yielded from the players and has instilled a new optimism in fans with regards to what is possible in Europe.
It’ll feel strange travelling out to Romania next week, given we’ve already won the group and qualified for the knockout round, but it could be a chance to see some of the other players in the team have the chance to show what they can do on the European stage.
AS exciting as the European games have been this season, I don’t think any Celtic fan would disagree that the league is the priority.
The current run of league titles has been years in the making and, fingers crossed, two more would make for an achievement that would forever stand tall in the long and illustrious history of the club.
Sunday’s game against Ross County in Dingwall saw Celtic continue on that journey with a 4-1 win.
