Scott Sinclair knows exactly what he wants for himself and the team as the Hoops enter the business end of the season.

IN his 36 appearances for Celtic this season, Scott Sinclair has scored 13 goals and has supplied half-a-dozen assists for his team-mates.

The winger’s impressive hat-trick against Aberdeen on Boxing Day at Pittodrie was wonderful, his double against Airdrie in the Scottish Cup fourth round was beautiful, and his penalty that helped the Hoops put four past St Mirren was magical.

Needless to say, the 29-year-old has lived up to his Scooter-inspired Celtic anthem this season, and now plans to capitalise on his recent run of form, as the Scottish champions chase yet more silverware in the second half of the campaign.

He bagged another goal in Saturday’s 3-0 SPFL win over Hamilton Accies to help the Hoops maintain their perfect domestic home record this season, and is revelling in the confidence he’s found on the pitch and, crucially, in front of goal.

“This run of performances couldn’t have come at a better time, to be honest, and to get the form back at this point has been great,” said Sinclair in an exclusive interview with the Celtic View. “But it’s always great to score goals, and it gives you confidence going into the next game. For myself, it’s great to be back playing.

“Before now, I was in and out, obviously the manager had chosen to change things around a little, and play some different formations where it didn’t necessarily allow me to come in and play, but, for me, it’s great now that I’m in and I’m scoring, I’m doing well and I feel back to the way I used to be.”

With seven goals in his last five appearances, four of which have come in 2019, Sinclair’s recent goalscoring record speaks for itself.

Ahead of the Aberdeen game, his total Celtic tally stood at 49. However, three goals against the Dons ensured he surpassed the half-century mark and some.
