The Indian Premier League (IPL) keeps producing rising stars who go on to become important faces in India's limited-overs side. Over the years, the IPL helped massively in giving players like Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Krunal Pandya. The likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan have broken into the scene in recent times. Against Sri Lanka in a limited-overs series in July, several uncapped players including Ruturaj Gaikwad, Varun Chakravarthy, Nitish Rana, and even Chetan Sakariya made their debuts for India. There are many players in the IPL who could get a taste of international cricket in the future. As the IPL is ongoing in the UAE, expect more fireworks from these players. Here we decode 10 uncapped players who can break into Team India's set-up.
VENKATESH IYER:
India need all-rounders and with Hardik Pandya struggling with injuries of late, a genuine batter who can bowl pace is needed. This brings KKR's Venkatesh Iyer to the picture. He only made his KKR debut as the IPL resumed from September 19 onwards. And in the four games, Iyer has scored runs freely besides bowling so well against DC and taking two wickets. He is an excellent fielder as well. If Iyer ends the season on a strong note, expect him to knock on the door.
RAHUL TRIPATHI:
The KKR batsman is a floater and can do well across different positions. When India use two different teams during tours, Tripathi can be looked upon, He can come in anywhere in the top-order or be used lower down. A consistent force, Tripathi has the experience and is doing well for KKR. He has a great range of shots and is KKR's highest scorer this season.
ARSHDEEP SINGH:
