FIRST IMPRESSIONS

WHAT WE LOVED

Savya Rasa Delhi sits at COMMONS, the chic dining space of DLF Saket. The promenade and the ground floor mirror a European dining district. On the first floor, however, Savya Rasa feels like a different world entirely. The vibe is warm, the décor is minimalistic, and the ambience artistic. It’s like walking into the courtyard of a South Indian home. The servers are dressed in traditional attire, the large picture windows let in atmospheric, natural light, and ancient artefacts add a certain charm. Adding the perfect touch, the mellow Carnatic music binds it all together beautifully.

I begin my culinary expedition with the perfect summer cooler, Vasantha Neer, a concoction of fresh coconut water, coconut cream, and honey. Then comes the Thengai Paal Rasam (a warm, nourishing soup of tomato and coconut milk tempered with ghee), from the Kongu Nadu region of Tamil Nadu.
