Although less heard of, Canada has rather intriguing options for skiiers. With its many ski-resorts, which are entire town or villages transformed for skiing, the destination has some adventurous and luxurious offerings.
Unlike Europe, Canada is not popular as a destination for skiing, but turns out it does have some unique and huge attractions for skiers. With snow capped mountains stretching from coast to coast, and some very well managed and operated ski resorts - which are entire villages or towns turned in to resorts - the country is a lesser explored ski haven. Spacious snow lodgings, quiet pistes, dumps of snow, this North American country has skiing options for everyone, a pro or not. A rather warm country when it comes to taking care of its skiing guests, it offers options that ski resorts elsewhere don't; most of them have signs or ropes marking their territory, and a team patrolling it, making a safety-nest for guests who may not be able to deal with roughs like avalanches.
As a destination for skiing, Canada is relatively lesser tapped, but is promising nonetheless. It has something for every skier. World-class resorts, cosmopolitan ski villages, small resorts in quieter corners, tourists can have their pick.
Calgary and Vancouver are two popular destinations, but the town of Whistler, too, has come to the top travel itineraries. Malta to host first art biennale in 2024
The Mediterranean island nation of Malta will organise its first art biennale in first half of 2024. Conceived as a Mediterranean biennale, its inaugural edition comes with theme of 'insular thinking' that has drawn over 2,500 proposals by artists from 75 countries.
