Through Thick And Thin
Australian Women’s Weekly NZ|June 2019

Healthy brows and lashes can become more elusive with every year. Vicki Bramley investigates an abundance of new ways to restore their former glory.

Through Thick And Thin

Full, subtly shaped brows are well and truly a modern style staple. Along with a set of luscious lashes, they have a natural framing and lifting effect. But as anyone who plucked to oblivion in the 1980s and 90s knows (guilty), brows can become notoriously patchy. Frustratingly, even while continuing to sprout endless strays.

It’s true that repeated eyebrow plucking can inflict multiple microtraumas that can eventually lead to permanent hair loss. But let’s not be too quick to blame ourselves. If you notice the thick of your brow disappearing, it might be due to the same hormonal changes that cause thinning tresses in some women around menopause.
