Zany dos are a gift to our alpacas! By Helen Kendall Smith, 53, from Cirencester
A tenth anniversary is celebrated with tin.
Not that I was married to my alpacas – although I might as well have been!
And, while they wouldn’t be interested in tin, I wanted to do something for them.
‘They deserve it, after all,’ I said to my hubby Geoffrey.
I’d got my first six alpacas in 2008, so now we’re nearly at our 10-year anniversary...
All my life, I’d bred ponies and horses. So I had the land and the experience.
When I saw an alpaca at a livestock show, I felt drawn to them, so I got three females and their young, which are called ‘cria’.
